ARRIVING IN LA SPEZIA
Our adventure begins in La Spezia, a beautiful port city and the perfect gateway to Cinque Terre. From the cruise port, we make our way to La Spezia Centrale railway station. The train is the easiest way to explore the villages, connecting them in just a few minutes.
RIOMAGGIORE A POSTCARD COME TO LIFE
Our first stop is Riomaggiore, the southernmost village. Colorful pastel houses rise dramatically along the hillside, surrounding a picturesque little harbor filled with fishing boats. We wander through its narrow streets, admire the traditional architecture, and enjoy breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea. A perfect introduction to Cinque Terre!
MANAROLA THE MOST ICONIC VIEW
Next, we take the train to Manarola, perhaps the most photographed village in the region. Its colorful houses perched above the deep blue sea create a picture-perfect landscape. We explore the charming streets and head towards the panoramic viewpoints for spectacular photographs. Manarola is pure Italian Riviera magic!
CORNIGLIA A VILLAGE ABOVE THE SEA
Our third stop is Corniglia, the only village not directly beside the sea. Perched high on a rocky promontory, it offers incredible panoramic views of the coastline. To reach the historic center, you can climb the famous Lardarina staircase or take the shuttle bus. Its peaceful atmosphere and charming streets make it truly special.
VERNAZZA THE CHARM OF THE ITALIAN RIVIERA
Next comes beautiful Vernazza, with its picturesque harbor, colorful buildings, and lively little piazza. Fishing boats rest along the waterfront while restaurants and cafés create a wonderful Italian atmosphere. We enjoy a relaxing walk along the waterfront, admire the Mediterranean scenery, and take in the peaceful atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to finish our adventure!
BACK TO LA SPEZIA
After an incredible day discovering these five magical villages, it’s time to catch the train back to La Spezia and return to our cruise ship. We make sure to leave plenty of time before departure.
